About Me

I am a tapestry artist living in Madison, Wisconsin.

I use a simple loom, colored threads and a tapestry bobbin to weave the cloth that tells my stories. Threads have always played an important part in my life.

My interest in making doll clothes as a child grew from watching my mother sew, and later I asked her to teach me to knit and crochet. My enthusiasm for the arts grew, and after studying photography in college, I began to discover the wide and varied world of fiber arts. Over time I developed a passion for tapestry weaving.

The shapes in my tapestries take form slowly, yet my focus and involvement are such that I often get lost in the process. New ideas and inspiration come to me while weaving and reveal a new story for the next tapestry.
